SPRING is in the air!

Spring is finally in the air! We are so excited at W.E.L. Dressed to see all the beautiful colors and warmer temps. The store is packed with all sorts of goodies for those special events. Think about Easter, birthdays, dance recitals, piano recitals, cheer try-outs, dance try-outs and more.  We try our best to offer a selection of gift items for all of you people on the go! We love to make shopping easy. It is hard these days not to be on the go with children. Not only do you participate in a particular activity, but also train for it as well.

First Day of School Attire

Have you picked out your child's first day of school outfit?  Do you follow the tradition of a new outfit and the "photo" that very first morning of the new year? What have you done with these photos?

At our house we always take a picture the first day of school, some years have been better than others. We try to always have a new outfit and look our best that very first day. It is becoming a bit harder as my children have gotten older for me to pick out their outfit. As if it isn't hard enough, the first days of school go along with  the three digit temperatures of August. So here are a few suggestions to help take that summer wardrobe into fall.

• Freshen up your closet with some new tops.  Many times the soft t-shirts show wear before the thicker pants.
• Pick up a couple new summer outfits from the SALE racks and layer with wide tanks or tees for appropriate school attire.
• Purchase new fall items that are of lighter weight and mix and match with other pieces in your closet.
• Don't forget the accessories. A simple outfit and come to life with  a necklace and hair bow.

Just a few ways to make your closet stretch from one season to another. A good jean jacket and a couple little shrugs are always a good staple to help transition to the next season. Try to think outside the box and you will be surprised what great looks arise! Happy First Few Days of School.

School Supplies

Are you ready for back-to-school? Do you have the never ending list of school supplies? It seems in a world of technology that someone would come up with a faster easier way to purchase school supplies! Were you able to buy all of it at one store or did you have to search for that one specific color folder?

That being said all the stores are in transition. Out with the old and in with the new! I will have to admit I am not ready to be receiving so many warmer clothing options, but FALL demands it in the children's clothing industry.

Have you seen our photo contest? We really enjoy seeing your W.E.L. Dressed Kids in their adorable outfits.  We have extended our deadline and will be announcing the winner on August 1st. How exciting! Some of the entries are so very close! Just one way we like to have fun around W.E.L. Dressed.

Necklaces...

Necklaces are a big part of today's accessories for both ladies and children. Having never thought much about where they come from or what they different types are called, I decided to look it up on Weikipedia.
I have always seen pictures in  history books of women from all different cultures wearing necklaces..........

SO Necklaces have been a part of jewelry since ancient civilizations. The birth of the necklace is as old as the Stone age. And to think we are still wearing them today!
How many things can you recall that really have stood the test of time and are still around in the basic same from in one way or another... I have never put much thought into the types of necklaces.Normally I would say a necklace was  a choker or a longer necklace, but actually there are several different types of necklaces.
