Necklaces...

Necklaces are a big part of today's accessories for both ladies and children. Having never thought much about where they come from or what they different types are called, I decided to look it up on Weikipedia.
I have always seen pictures in  history books of women from all different cultures wearing necklaces..........

SO Necklaces have been a part of jewelry since ancient civilizations. The birth of the necklace is as old as the Stone age. And to think we are still wearing them today!
How many things can you recall that really have stood the test of time and are still around in the basic same from in one way or another... I have never put much thought into the types of necklaces.Normally I would say a necklace was  a choker or a longer necklace, but actually there are several different types of necklaces.

Sautoir/Rope                                         anything longer than Opera
Lariat                                                Just as it sounds anything that can be wrapped around
